I am a truck driver and was passing through when had an emergency. I was worried at first because the hospital is in a small town...the week before I went to a hospital in Jacksonville fl and was released with indigestion. Couple days later same pain but this time I was in Clinton sc. This hospital found the problem and fixed it. Every one was great from the er staff to the nurses and the Dr.'s...the best hospital experience i have ever had. I think they saved my life by catching the problem while the big city hospital sent me out to die saying i had indigestion. Thank you to all those at Laurens County Mem Hospital for all you did to help me. My family thanks you to.
They DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS. Especially, their mental health patients!!! Rude as hell, don't care where they send the adolescents who are in need of mental health care or anything. They treat mental health patients like DOGS. It's insane and ridiculous to say the least. Do not go there, go to Gwd or somewhere else!!!!
Guess it depends on what shift you get. Got here at 6:51pm, sitting in my room waiting for discharge papers at 7:30pm. Everyone I talked with today were helpful, polite and knowledgeable.
Worst hospital ever. My daughter has a rare condition that requires port administered I.V. rescue drugs. Broke her foot, was in waiting room 3 hours.. she started having an attack. I asked the lady at front desk that my daughter was starting to have an attack is there anywhere that I can give her a treatment. She went and asked triage nurse, who said no..they had no room available. No one was using triage room, couldn't even use that. Instead they told me that I could take her to the bathroom and give it to her. Yah, like the bathroom is the best place to give I.V. infusions. So I had to leave the hospital to take her home to give her her rescue drug.
On April 20, 2017, my eye doctor sent me to the ER, due to loss of vision in my left eye. She wanted to make sure that I had not had a stroke. Dr. Jittin Muljibhai was not happy to see me. He was angry because he was having to deal with me. He kept saying he didn't understand why I would come to Laurens when they don't have the proper equipment. When I tried to explain to him what happened, he kept interrupting me and questioning me like I was lying, he would keep telling me that my story didn't make sense. I finally looked at him and said if you will read the paper that I gave you from the eye doctor, it explains to you what is going on. He then storms off, has me sit there for 3 hours and orders a CT SCAN. The CT SCAN showed that I did not have a tumor but he didn't have anymore information. He discharged me, even though I still could not see. He told me that he didn't know what was wrong and that he did not care. When my family responded that they would just take me to Greenville, he said Go ahead, I already talked to the Doctor there and he doesn't care either. The nurse came in and apologized and told me to go to Greenville. At Greenville he had put in the notes that he had referred me to an Eye Specialist ( NOT HE DID NOT). He gave me a paper that explained how to live with vision loss and things I could to to make my life easier. Greenville sent me to a specialist, who found out I had inflammation behind my eye and a pinched nerve that stopped blood flow to my eye. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO LAURENS!!!
