I haven't had my vehicle worked on there, and I won't. The guy who answered the phone was VERY rude to put it politely. Said it'd be a month before he can check my windows? Maybe he should put no new business for a month out on his billboard, if that's the case.

Poor customer service, overpriced, bad inexperienced Mechanics. Hit a pot hole battery hit the hood shorting out cable ends and lights. As i opened the hood and saw the cable ends spark when i touched it i knew right away that's what it was. Both officers that showed up when I called 911 agreed and said there lies your problem, 1 of them was a mechanic for 10yrs and worked at a dealership for several years. He said that shouldn't take much to fix if he had his tools and it wasn't 2am where there were no part stores open he would have fixed it for me. I had it towed to Nichol's automotive cos that was the closest shop in the area I was traveling. Call them in the morning to tell them what went wrong. call me back with a bill for $110 plus for replacing cable ends, said checked everything else and nothing else was damaged. I paid the bill over the phone since I couldn't make it there before they closed that way I picked up my car late even if they were not there. I get there to pick the car up and they did not check lights. What kind of mechanic shop charges a woman that was stranded in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night over a hundred dollars in repairs without running the car around the parking lot or around the block to make sure she doesn't get stranded again? If they had done as much as turn the lights on and off they would have seen the problem, I told them I would pick it up after hours, still didnt dawn on them that since the cables were shorted, lets check the lights to be sure this lady makes it back home safe. My safety was obviously none of their business, they just wanted to be able to say they got the car started. He even told me we just did the minimum to get the car back on the road we had no reason to check the lights, can you believe that?? Untop of being very rude to me and hanging up on me when I called to give them opportunity to make up for their unfinished unprofessional work. I was polite, courteous, respectful even when he kept cutting me off I would ask him to please let me finish and just to hear me out the same way I respectfully listen when he speaks and let him finish before I say something but I guess nothing I had to say was of any importance, afterall I'm the one with no lights not him. all i wanted was for them to finish their half finish work and charge me accordingly, I didn't ask him to repair my car for free but I'm not paying two fees to check 1 problem either. If that's how they make their money, I hope they don't have daughters and mothers cos what goes around comes around...

Nichols automotive has always been friendly and helpful. We aren't in there often, but they remember my name when they recognize my voice.

We broke down with a bad alternator on a Sunday afternoon on our way home to North Carolina. We stayed at a local hotel that suggested Nichols as a good place. We called them first thing the next morning and they fit us in even though I'm sure they already had plenty of customers to take care of. Not only that, they even had one of their mechanics drop us off and pick us up from downtown so that we could get a lunch and kill some time while we waited for the part to come in and get installed. Their price was reasonable and we were more than grateful to be heading home later that afternoon. Everyone there was friendly and helpful and they made an unpleasant situation much more bearable! I would suggest them to anyone.

Not to mention he told me he was gonna put it on the machine to see exactly what was wrong with it........Well my vehicle never made it to the machine, he told me himself that he didn't put it on the machine. Never again!

In April of 2017 this place was recommended to me....... what a bad idea. I took my vehicle there with a small leak. They replaced the coolant reservoir. I drove it for a day and the leak started back. I called he told me to bring it back. After he looked it over he said it needed a new radiator, well I got the radiator replaced and a couple days later my vehicle started running hot. I took it back to him and he stated that it needed a water pump. He then informed me that he doesn't have a mechanic on site that can fix it. As I stated earlier I DROVE my vehicle to his shop, after all his "NEW" replacing I can no longer drive my vehicle without it running hot. Now I have had about $700 worth of work done to my vehicle and it is worse than when I first took it to him! I do not recommend him to no one. His work is not well and his parts are extremely over priced. I wouldn't let him work on my 10 speed bicycle.
